Meta descriptions, commit messages, and essays all have a length. Spoold's word counter updates words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, lines, and reading time as you type.
How the numbers are chosen
- Words split on whitespace. A hyphenated token stays one word.
- Characters are Unicode code points, so an emoji is one character. The no-spaces figure drops whitespace.
- Reading time is 200 words a minute, rounded up.
The text stays in the browser. Share only if you want a link to that draft.
