Application logs show up as JSON lines, logfmt, or access-log text. Spoold's Log Parser splits each line into a level, a message, and fields so you can keep the errors and search a path.

What each format gives you

  • JSON lines — one object per line. Nested objects become dotted keys such as http.status.
  • logfmt — level=error msg="payment failed".
  • Access logs — combined format. 5xx is an error, 4xx is a warning, and the message is method, path, and status.
  • Level lines — a timestamp plus INFO, WARN, or ERROR.

A short workflow

  1. Paste the excerpt, or load a sample to see the shape.
  2. Leave Auto on unless the file is mixed and you want one parser.
  3. Click a level chip, then search for a path, user, or error code.
  4. In Extract, keep the suggested field chips or type names such as status, path. Emails, URLs, IPs, and name=value pairs are read from the raw line, including plain text. Preview the table, then download CSV or JSON.
  5. Select a row to read the fields. For a JSON body you still want to query, use the JSONPath tester.

Logs often contain personal data. Parsing is local, but a share link contains the text you pasted. Redact tokens and emails first.
